How we hire

Every competitor says their people are good. We show you how they are chosen.

This is the whole process, stage by stage, including how many candidates survive each one. Nothing here is a secret worth keeping.

  1. 01

    Application and first screen

Every applicant sends a two-minute voice recording

A CV alone tells us nothing about how someone sounds on a call, so every applicant records two minutes of themselves speaking English. We listen before we read. Most applications are decided in the first thirty seconds — which is exactly how long a prospect gives them.

  2. 02

    Recorded English interview

30 minutes — only the top 20% go through

A thirty-minute interview conducted entirely in English and recorded, then scored against the same rubric we use as IELTS and TOEFL instructors: pronunciation, range, and whether they can hold a thought after being interrupted. Roughly one in five gets through.

  3. 03

    Sales skills test and role-play

Live objection handling, scored against a fixed rubric

A live role-play against a real objection from a real industry. We are not testing product knowledge — they do not have any yet. We are testing whether they stay calm, listen properly, and ask a second question instead of reciting the script.

  4. 04

    References and background check

    Two previous managers contacted directly

Two former managers contacted by phone, plus identity and education documents verified. It is the unglamorous stage, and it catches the things a good interview does not.

  5. 05

    Two-week training programme

Your product, your scripts, your CRM — before day one

Two weeks before they touch a live account: your product, your scripts, your CRM, your objection handling. They shadow real calls, then run mock calls until the scorecard comes back clean. You approve them before they start.

Our founders are IELTS and TOEFL instructors. Assessing English is our profession, not a checkbox on a hiring form.

Which is why we are comfortable publishing the recordings instead of describing them.

The process is the product. Hear what comes out of it.

Three recordings, unedited, on the home page. Judge the output rather than the method.
